UPDATE 01/03/17: Hear a preview of Lorde’s new single ‘Greenlight’
Joy to the world, new Lorde has come! Well, at least, it looks a helluva lot like it will be coming, and pretty damn soon.
The release date for some new material from the Kiwi pop Queen Bee seems to have slipped, with her record label Republic Records’ website listing an agenda item dubbed “Lorde (Confidential Title) 3/7” on the cards for a meeting next Tuesday, 21st February.

To be fair, the release date (which is confusingly written in the backwards American-style way — it’s actually 7th March) may not necessarily refer to the Lorde’s highly frothed follow-up to her 2013 album Pure Heroine, but — at the very least — it seems to confirm we’ll be getting hit with new Lorde music of some kind, which, you know, is still defo cause for celebration.
ICYMI: The ‘Royals’ tunewizard has been teasing her new LP since last November, saying it was “coming soon” in a poetic coming-of-age open letter to her fans.
Seems like the countdown is officially ON, y’all. Praise the Lorde!
