Rick Ross and Young Jeezy exchanged a few heated words and shoved eachother around backstage at the BET Awards in Atlanta overnight.
TMZ reports that the two rappers got into a scuffle before their security and entourage intervened to split them up.
However, according to an eyewitness, the rift didn’t end there. TMZ believe a member of Rick Ross’ entourage then pulled out a gun while in the car park and shots were fired.
A spokesman for the Atlanta Police Department confirmed that they had been called out to deal with a fight that had broken out in the car park of the Atlantic Civic Center (the awards venue) but said “reports of shots fired appear to untrue”.
“Shortly after 7:15 pm Saturday, a fight broke out in the parking lot at the Atlanta Civic Center between two groups. Atlanta Police Department officers on scene responded to break up the fight and used OC spray in the process. Individuals fled the scene. There were no arrests or reports of serious injuries. Reports of shots fired appear to be untrue.”
Neither rappers were arrested and both returned to the arena for the rest of the BET Awards ceremony.
