Rita Ora, G Flip, Montaigne and Electric Fields have all been enlisted to play the forthcoming 2021 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade.
The announcement comes as the parade moves to the Sydney Cricket Ground for obvious reasons, and will also be a ticketed, seated event for punters.
In addition to these performers, a Welcome To Country will be performed, with Aunty Yvonne Weldon and singer-songwriter Scott Hunter, as well as Koomurri dancers, NAISDA dancers, and Buuja Butterfly dancers.
“The Parade is such a special event for the community,” said Mardi Gras CEO Albert Kruger in a press statement.
“It is a loud, proud and welcoming celebration of community spirit and connectedness.
“The move to the SCG has presented us with a unique opportunity to add to the spectacle of the Parade with some truly awe-inspiring performances,” he continued.
He also says punters should keep an eye out for some surprises on the night.
There are still tickets remaining for the parade, which takes place on Saturday, 6th March, so be sure to get in quick.
