Melbourne rockers British India and Sydney’s The Preatures have just been announced as support acts for The Rolling Stones’ 14 On Fire Australian shows at Hanging Rock and Hope Estate this November.
British India have just finished up recording their much-anticipated fifth studio album and ticketholders to The Rolling Stones’ Hanging Rock and Hope Estate shows will be amongst the first to hear its brand new single. The band will also play tracks from 2013’s Controller as well as selections from their illustrious back catalogue.
Sydney five-piece The Preatures have had an enormous 12 months, playing sets at Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, Splendour In The Grass and Coachella, performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live and receiving a bevy of awards including an ARIA nomination. They have also confirmed their highly anticipated debut Blue Planet Eyes will be released on September 26th, just in time for their very special guest appearance alongside some rock legends.
“When we heard there was a chance of supporting The Rolling Stones, we tried not to think about it, in case it didn’t happen,” band-member Gideon Benson said in a statement. “When we actually got the nod from them, we went in to shock and we still are.”
The Rolling Stones have also announced a final release of general admission tickets for the Hope Estate show which will be available for purchase from 10am local time next Monday, 1st September. See ticket details below.
