Royal Chant, the indie/folk garage band from the wilds of NSW, will be bringing their overdriven songs to help out and headline an Oxfam charity night at the Excelsior Hotel entitled ROXFAM. Used to being the CAUSE of a disaster, the boys from Royal Chant are quite frankly stunned that their passion and poetry can be put to some good use for once. They look forward to sharing the stage with the other acts, including Johnny Zoch, Bastian, and Eli Wolf. All the acts are donating their time and talent free of charge for the night, with ALL proceeds going to Oxfam. It all happens on Thursday, August 20th, at the Excelsior Hotel in Surry Hills, Sydney.
In the days following the event, Royal Chant will be staying in Sydney to shoot the music video for “Somedays”, their second single produced by Wayne Connolly. After their debut single “Coughing Fits” garnered a few spins on Triple-J, “Somedays” took things one step further by getting added to regular rotation, just in time for a series of shows that will see them playing alongside Bluejuice, Roger That, The Protectors, and a full saddlebag of acts at the inaugural Blueprint Festival (VIC) in September.
