Ryan Adams’ Upcoming Album ‘Big Colors’ Has Been Pulled From Release

In the wake of the New York Times‘ article that saw women like Mandy Moore and Phoebe Bridgers accuse Ryan Adams of sexual misconduct and abuse, his upcoming album has been pulled from release.

As NYT reportsBig Colors was put on hold indefinitely amidst the backlash Adams received after the article’s publication which included the FBI opening an inquiry into accusations that Adams was communicating with an underage girl.

Bull Moose, a record store chain in the US states of Maine and New Hampshire, said that they had been contacted by a supplier saying the record was “canceled effective immediately.” According to a representative of the store, they were told this by a sales representative of Universal Music Group. It was initially set for release on Friday, 19th April.

Big Colors was reportedly one of three albums Adams had planned to release this year as part of a trilogy. According to Pitchfork, the second of these albums was to be called Wednesdays.

Bridgers has released a new statement following the original NYT article’s publication, where she thanks her circle for believing her and urges men to call out their friends if they “do something fucked up.”

Adams has denied the allegations against him.
