Sam Smith 2015 All-Ages Australian Tour Announced

UPDATE 28/04/15: Sam Smith has cancelled all remaining dates on his Australian tour, on doctor’s orders.

British soul singer Sam Smith has announced a 5-date all-ages Australian tour. Last in the country for Splendour In The Grass in late July, Smith will return to Australia as part of his In The Lonely Hour tour across April and May 2015.

When Sam Smith performed at Splendour In The Grass earlier this year, Music Feeds reviewer Sam Murphy praised Smith’s vocal abilities, saying, “[Smith] brought one of the biggest crowds of the weekend into the Mix-Up tent, all ready for a mammoth sing-along. His voice cut through like no other, particularly on a downbeat rendition of Latch.

Sam Smith’s 2015 Australian tour, which will feature shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, is sure to be equally as impressive as his Splendour performance, and a great opportunity for fans who missed the festival to finally experience Smith’s live show.

After rising to prominence as BBC’s Sound of 2014, and buoyed by that impressive performance on Disclosure’s breakthrough song Latch, Smith released his debut album In The Lonely Hour in May, lining the release with hits like Stay With Me, Money On My Mind and Not The Only One.

Sam Smith’s 2015 all-ages Australian tour begins in Brisbane on 25th April 2015, and wraps up in Perth on 4th May. Full tour and ticket information available below.

Sam Smith has added a second Sydney show to his 2015 All-Ages Australian Tour after his performance at the Hordern Pavilion on Monday, 27th April, 2015 sold out. The new performance will take place the following night, also at the Hordern Pavilion, on Tuesday, 28th April 2015.

Tickets for Sam Smith’s second Sydney show go on sale at 11:30am AEST this morning, Monday, 15th September.

UPDATE 15/04/15: Australian singer-songwriter Emma Louise has been announced as a support artist for Sam Smith’s Australian In The Lonely Hour tour, which has now completely sold out. Currently working on her second album, Louise is perhaps best-known for Two Bodies, her collaborative track with Flight Facilities.
