Congrats, Westies! You’ve just bagged a brand new summer festival to call your very own.
The inaugural By The C is a music and cultural extravaganza set to take over the shores of western Perth’s iconic Cottesloe Beach on Sunday, 20th November, and it’s already packing one heck of a music lineup.
Two of the biggest names in Aussie tune-smithery have been tapped to perform at the debut event, which will mark the first time that music has graced the sand at Cottesloe since the Beach Boys performed way back in 2004.
Indie duo Angus & Julia Stone and folk rockers John Butler Trio will both hit the waterfront open-air stage, alongside a host of other acts (which are still to be announced).
The community-focused festival, which is the collective brainchild of renowned WA event maestros Zaccaria Concerts & Touring and Metric Events, will also be packed full of pop-up beach bars, food stalls and markets stocked with goods and art by local makers.
“Throw on your sunnies, grab a wine and a basket of fish ‘n’ chips from one of the many local food and bar offerings available, join your friends on a picnic rug and enjoy some of our country’s best musicians playing spectacular live sets on the beach stage,” promoters advise.
Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to us.
