Organisers of the long-delayed Scene & Heard festival have announced they’re giving it “one last crack”, announcing rescheduled dates and some lineup additions for the Newcastle event. Now set to take place on Sunday, 13th March at Newcastle’s Wickham Park, the revised bill includes previously-announced acts Grinspoon, Ratcat, Frenzal Rhomb, COG and Caligula.
New additions to the lineup include Aussie alt-rock royalty Spiderbait, along with Wollongong psych-grunge veterans Tumbleweed and ska-punks The Porkers. Organisers have also announced the dance-oriented Don’t Come Monday stage, which will feature breakbeat DJ Kid Kenobi, Australian Daft Punk tribute show Discovery, Minx and more to come.
“We’re here to stay – thanks for holding onto your tickets in support of the artists and our much-loved live music industry,” organisers commented in a statement today. It comes after multiple postponements for the festival due to resurgences of COVID-19 in the community and subsequent public health advice.
Tickets purchased for original dates will be valid for next month. For those who are unable to make the new date, Oztix will be in touch regarding refund requests. Final release tickets are still available – head here for more details and to purchase.
