Having announced their triumphant return earlier this year, Augie March have unveiled their new music video for A Dog Starved, a track taken from their long-awaited fifth studio album, Havens Dumb. The clip, directed by Rachael Jane, gives fans an inside look into the Melbourne five-piece’s recording process.
The band announced their return after a five-year hiatus back in July, quickly unveiling a string of hometown shows and confirming the release of Havens Dumb. Most recently, the band were announced as part of the MONA FOMA 2015 pre-festival sideshow, alongside Violent Femmes and Ben Salter.
Music Feeds recently caught up with drummer David Williams, who told us that despite the lengthy wait, he “never thought we wouldn’t get back together”. According to Williams, Augie March have established a new middle-ground between rock life and the world outside of it. Although Williams he’s sure the band will continue into the future, he told Music Feeds that Augie March will “be a part-time thing forever”.
Having “flickered” back into life, Augie March are now preparing to play a string of sold-out hometown shows to cement their return. Readers can check out the kaleidoscopic video for A Dog Starved below, as well as a gallery of exclusive images taken during the production of the clip.
