In anticipation of his forthcoming debut record Times, SG Lewis has today shared One More, a massive collaborative effort between the UK artist and Chic co-founder Nile Rodgers.
The pairing has resulted in an effortlessly chic funk-pop track, with Rodgers slaying the guitar like it’s nothing, while SG Lewis sings of fleeting romances in a club.
Speaking to the gravity of this collaboration on a personal level, SG Lewis said that “One More was the first song I wrote for this record in LA, and one that set me on the path to making this whole album.”
“Working with Nile Rodgers was an experience which will stay with me for the rest of my life. To have someone who has influenced not only this album, but my entire career play on this song is mind-blowing.”
In a post to Twitter, Rogers said to Lewis that “This song was a pleasure to do with you bruh and I mean that from the heart.”
One More is one of five singles to be lifted from Lewis’ forthcoming record. Previous singles include Impact with Robyn and Channel Tres, Feed The Fire with Lucky Daye, among others.
The record will be out on Friday, 19th February via EMI. Listen to One More below.
