Coldplay‘s 2017 Aussie stadium tour stopped off in Melbourne on Saturday, with the British rockers unsurprisingly delighting a massive crowd of punters at Etihad Stadium.
The 55,000 or so fans in attendance were left a tad shocked when Aussie cricket icon Shane Warne joined the band on stage for their track Don’t Panic, whipping out a harmonica for the song.
Perhaps the most unexpected part of the whole saga was that Warney wasn’t terrible with the old mouth organ, but in saying that he’s not about to set the world alight with his talent. A Music Feeds contributor who was present at the show said once the band stopped and Chris Martin asked Warnie for a solo, the former cricketers’ performance fell a little flat.
Newscorp Australia reports that Warne hung out with the band on Saturday during the day and that his kids were also there.
Coldplay will play the final two shows of their tour in Sydney on Tuesday and Wednesday night this week.
Watch some clips of Warne’s brief harmonica cameo, below.
