Sheppard East Coast Tour Dates, New Single ‘Something’s Missing’

Brissy indie poppers Sheppard have already achieved the highest selling Australian single for 2014 so far with their hit Geronimo and will continue to dominate Australian airwaves with their new single Something’s Missing. The six-piece’s highly anticipated debut album Bombs Away hits stores July 11th and to celebrate Sheppard have announced a handful of album launch tour dates.

The Brisbane hit-makers will play all-ages album launches in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this July/August with special guests New Empire to celebrate their success. “This year has been such a whirlwind and it was important to us that we take the time to get out there on the road and celebrate our album with the fans,” said lead singer George Sheppard.

Earlier this year, Sheppard’s smash hit Geronimo spent three weeks at top spot on the ARIA charts, breaking the record for a run at number one from an independently distributed Australian artist. They are currently on the road with Keith Urban on his Light the Fuse tour playing to over 70,000 people across the country.

Sheppard emerged from Brisbane in 2012 and features siblings George, Amy and Emma Sheppard along with friends Jay Bovino, Michael Butler and Dean Gordon. A few days ago it was announced that influential US talent manager Scooter Braun, who famously spearheaded Justin Bieber’s career, has signed Sheppard for their US launch.

The album Bombs Away will deliver eleven slices of the band’s trademark pop rock sound including the near triple platinum Geronimo, last year’s double platinum breakthrough ARIA nominated hit Let Me Down Easy as well as the new single Something’s Missing.

Tickets for the Bombs Away tour will be available for pre-sale on Wednesday 25th June with general public tickets on sale from 10am Friday, 27th June. Listen to the new single Something’s Missing here.
