Brisbane’s own Sheppard have announced they will return home this October after a warmly received stint in Europe and following the mammoth success of their breakout single, Geronimo. The group will be rolling through venues around the country, including a performance at the 2014 Deni Ute Muster.
With the highest selling Australian single for 2014 already under their belts, Sheppard sought to recreate the success of Geronimo overseas. In just four short weeks on the road, the band saw the single hit the top 10 in Ireland, Italy, and Poland, and become the third most played music video in Spain.
“The response in Europe was great. It was so much fun to go to countries where we were starting from the bottom again and winning over the fans one by one with our songs,” said singer Amy Sheppard. “We are so pleased that we have the opportunity to duck home to see our Australian fans again…”
Their Australian tour comes ahead of Sheppard’s November US run, where band manager Michael Chugg is working with US co-manager Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber) to fulfil the prophecy of US industry bible Music Week, who’ve predicted that Sheppard will match their Australian success Stateside.
Readers can check below for all the dates and ticketing details of Sheppard’s highly anticipated October national tour. The run will see the group playing a selection of 18+ and all ages shows and playing a handful of regions for the first time since the release of their acclaimed Gold album, Bombs Away.
