Shihad – previously known as Pacifier, and before that, Shihad – have rather gleefully announced that they’ll be heading back to Australia for a string of shows with legendary instrumental rockers Storytime.
Three shows in the Perth region and one show in Margaret River are on the cards, scheduled for late June this year, along with a headlining set at NSW festival Pigsty In July.
Intriguingly, this all the news we’ve got going at the moment, with only hope that an expanded Australian tour for the Kiwi rockers is in the works.
Earlier this month, Shihad re-released their breakthrough album, also called Shihad (but also known as the Fish Album). In 2014, they put out their ninth album FVEY, plus opened for AC/DC last year during their tour of New Zealand.
In other news, these are quite exciting times for Storytime, having reunited this year after having disbanded Joy Division-style after a trailblazing three album career. Back with their original lineup, Storytime are (at least temporarily) back and this time they mean business.
Check out the tour dates below.
Update 27/04/2016: Shihad have added an additional four dates for an East Coast leg of their tour.
