Sydney indie quartet Sierra Fin are celebrating that fabulous time of year when the gloominess of winter finally retreats and the sun makes itself known again. Yep, it’s an ode to T-Shirt Weather, and the band are giving us a free download of this timely number.
After getting very serious about business on their debut LP, Cautionary Tale Of The Beautiful Blackout, which was recorded with a 26-piece symphony orchestra, this time round the boys have decided to chill out and record a summer anthem instead. “After the heavy subject matter of our debut album, we wanted to lighten the fuck up!” the band explains. “So we wrote an ode to the first day that the dog’s ball shitness of winter finally breaks and called it T-Shirt Weather.”
The single comes complete with a video filmed on Super 8 in a single take, with the boys getting their tomfoolery on with some tiny bikes, some babes, and the Aussie summer staple, the Slurpee, all filmed at Narrabeen Beach. The official single launch takes place at The Green Room Lounge, Enmore, on Friday, 29th November.
