The Simpsons has given a lot to the world, but now a YouTuber-slash-genius is using the show to give tracks by the likes of Green Day and Paul Kelly some brilliant Simpsons-loving music videos.
Earlier this month, YouTuber “xystvyry” dropped a genius Simpsons version of Aussie rocker Paul Kelly’s Dumb Things, retelling the song’s narrative with a montage of Simpsons scenes, expertly clipped together with perfect timing, references to trains and yes, the angry cat lady.
The Dumb Things remake (below) is so good that Kelly himself has even taken to Facebook to say he “likes” it, leaving us all with the image of Paul Kelly smiling politely while watching the clip on his computer.
A few months prior to releasing his Dumb Things remake, xystvyry shared with the world an equally impressive Simpsons retelling of Green Day’s Working Class Hero, which even stars Green Day themselves. Catch both videos below as we wait for xystvyry’s next on-point creation.
