“Drummers are seriously ruining my week,” says AJ Maddah just moments after breaking even more rotten news to his followers. It appears that Kevin Talley, drummer for Six Feet Under, has had a “dirtbike mishap” and will not recover in time for Soundwave 2013.
So far, this puts the tally of fallen rockstars who won’t be making the journey Down Under to 1 vocalist and 2 drummers, after Travis Barker’s high-profile pull-out and Shai Hulud frontman Justin Kraus being hospitalised after chest pain. Say what you will about Travis, but it’s not his fault he has a fear of flying.
This now puts the band in the awkward position of scrapping the tour altogether or replacing their sticks man, like Blink-182 have done. There is so far no confirmation that they will be dropping out, but This Is Hell have graciously offered to fill their slot on the Sylosis sidewave.
Update: Soundwave have confirmed moments after publication that Six Feet Under will not be performing at Soundwave 2013 or any of their sideshows.
Feck. Six Feet Under's drummer has had a dirtbike mis-hap. Apparently will not recover in time to make the trip. #SW13
