Six Hospitalised Following Suspected Drug Overdoses At Sydney Dance Festival

Six people have been taken to hospital suffering suspected drug overdoses following the Midnight Mafia hard style dance festival in Sydney on Saturday night.

As Seven reports, the patients are now believed to be in a stable condition, after being transported to hospital from the event at Sydney Olympic Park.

Police have charged four people with serious drug supply offences and 32 others with possession, enacting a large scale drug operation that included sniffer dogs and hundreds of body searches on-site.

The cops seized 135 MDMA caps all up as well as large quantities of cash, alleging that a 38-year-old man was arrested while carrying $41,000.

He’s been charged with knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime.

A man and woman were also arrested after police reportedly uncovered 50 MDMA caps in their car, which was parked outside the event.

All up, 165 of the 8,000 punters who attended required medical attention at the rave.
