Sydney’s rhythm driven, noisy guitar three piece, skinpin, announce the release of their debut album, Shifting Sands.
Recorded with Jon Boy Rock, the release marks a major milestone for the band. However, the experience hasn’t gone to their heads. The skinpin mission statement remains the same as it always has been: Have Band, Will Travel.
Formed out of the loveless and tiresome advertising and culling of musicians in the back of the free street press, skinpin has solidified into a noisy streamlined machine, built on the mutual hatred of passive music and Djs who do nothing but push buttons and prance about trying to look cool.
Once formed, skinpin took off and played as many shows in as many different places as they could find. They shared the stage with the Hard Ons, I Heart Hiroshima, Nunchukka Superfly, Firewitch, Fangs Of.., Downtime and bands of that nature. They are good.
skinpin remain – by choice – on the never ending journey to write good songs and play as many shows as they can. However they will not sell pre-sell tickets and/or play in any so-called band competitions.
This is not fashion!
This is not sport!
This is Music!
