It’s been a long, long, long time between drinks for Guns N’ Roses fans, but it looks like we’re really gonna get that new album we’ve all been yearning for.
Late last year, GNR guitarist Richard Fortus gave us an exciting update for the band’s first album in over a decade, and the band’s first album in almost three decades to feature Slash, Duff and Axl Rose on the same album.
“We are going to try to do another record and get it out soon,” Fortus said.
He also said that we’ll be getting it “faster than (we) think.”
Now, Slash has revealed in a new interview that the band already has material recorded for the new album.
In an interview Japanese news outlet TVK Rock City, Slash spoke about the band’s recording process.
“Axl, Duff, myself and Richard have all talked about… there’s material and stuff going on already for a new record. It’s just, with Guns N’ Roses, you don’t go, ‘Oh, there’s a plan, and it’s gonna be like this,’ because that’s not how it works.”
“Basically, the only real answer to give is we’re hoping to put a new record out,” he continued, “and we’ll just see what happens when it happens.”
It’s getting real, fam. IT’S GETTING REAL.
