Slipknot seem to be really enjoying toying with our emotions over the identity of their mysterious new ninth member.
ICYMI: the metal titans recently debuted their creepy new masks on Kimmel, as well as an unidentified new member on the custom percussion in the place of OG Chris Fehn, who exited the band earlier this year (and not on the best of terms FYI).
Rumours have since been flying over who the new #3 could be, with some fans speculating that the ring in could be a member of the band’s road crew, while others reckon it could actually be Fehn himself back in the mix.
And now, Slipknot are trolling the sh*t out of those of us scratching our heads.
Reddit user Conflixshuns has posted a snap of one of the band’s drums, with the words “Who is the new guy?” scrawled across it:
It follows a recent interview with Kerrang! that saw Corey Taylor and Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan refuse to let anything slip.
“The position you may or may not be talking about is nobody’s fucking business,” Clown said.
He later added that fans can decide who the new member is after watching Slipknot perform live, stating “The proof is in the pudding”.
Speaking of performing live, you can catch the ‘Knot touring Australia with Metallica later this year after their new album WE ARE NOT YOUR KIND lands on August 9th.
