Slipknot may have just released their latest album, but Corey Taylor is already looking ahead to future venues.
We Are Not Your Kind was predictably well received in Australia, with the record currently at #3 on the ARIA Albums Chart, having peaked at #1 last week.
The band’s frontman says that he’s definitely keen to record his own solo album and take it on tour… but not til 2021.
“I’m actually giving serious thought to doing a solo album and a solo run,” he told Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM.
“Obviously, it’s not gonna happen for a while. And I’m actually giving you the exclusive, ’cause I haven’t told anybody that I was gonna do that…
Taylor says he has already informed his current band mates of his plans to go solo.
” I’ve already told the guys in Stone Sour and Slipknot that I’m doing it, just out of respect.
“So, yeah, probably 2021.”
