New Sløtface has arrived in the form of another slice of vibrant pop punk, new single ‘Telepathetic’. The song is the first fans have heard from the Norwegian four-piece since the release of their 2017 debut album, Try Not To Freak Out, which brought them to Australia for the first time that year as well.
The track, receiving its Australian premiere with Bridget Hustwaite on triple j, is full of energy, driven by irresistible percussion and guitars, with a melody that is sure to be left knocking around in your head. Vocalist Haley Shea dropped some details about where Sløtface is with new music, and a potentially darker direction.
“We’ve been working on this new record that’s going to come out early next year,” she said. “There’ll be a bunch of singles coming from that in the next few months.”
“It was written in one of our last studio sessions together with our producer Odd Martin, who’s done a bunch of work with Sigrid and Aurora. It was our first stab at working with a more poppy producer, which was exciting.”
