In what should come as a surprise to nobody, rapper Snoop Dogg is launching his own website dedicated to all things marijuana called Merry Jane.
As reported by The Guardian, the site, co-founded by Snoop and LA entrepreneur Ted Chung, was introduced at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco. There it was described as a “premier media platform at the intersection of cannabis and pop culture.”
“After watching where the cannabis industry is headed, I wanted to create a platform that will take this movement further by creating a destination where people could find fresh content,” Snoop Dogg further explained.
“Merry Jane is a game-changing platform for pop culture. It’s a new frontier y’all!”
The rapper himself explained that the website would be a hub for all things pot-related including guides of where to obtain certain strains of the substance around the US. The site is currently in a testing phase allowing 420 (!) users to access it per day but it will soon be open to the whole population.
Merry Jane comes complete with a YouTube video where Snoop has already posted a video congratulating Colorado for legalising medical and recreational marijuana. The channel will host a series called Deflowered featuring interviews with innovators in the industry. The first video showcases retired US marine captains explaining how helpful marijuana has been for them returning from service.
