Snoop Dogg Visits The White House

Snoop Dogg a.k.a. Snoop Lion, has documented his recent visit to the White House for the 36th Annual Kennedy Center Honors. The rapper, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr, previously lamented the fact that he could not perform at the White House because of the content of his songs.

In March, Snoop Dogg released a companion film to him Grammy Award-nominated reggae album, Reincarnated, in which the artist said he always wanted to visit the White House but could not perform any of his songs to the audience, saying:

“I always say I’m never able to perform in situations where I’d love to because I don’t have those kinds of songs. My songs are too hard… I know Obama wants me to come to the White House but what the f-ck can I perform? Be honest…”

The Long Beach, California native, who dressed black tie for the occasion, was accompanied by his wife and daughter, remarking in the video, “I’ve got my wife, my daughter and we’re going to have a good time,” and adding, “Eastside LBC to DC, my baby boo been with me the whole way through…”
