Having teased that something special was coming for fans recently, Something For Kate have announced a special commemoration tour for their seminal third album, Echolalia.
Originally released in 2001, the Platinum selling record is a classic in the Something For Kate discography. Without it, we wouldn’t have songs like ‘Three Dimensions’, ‘Monsters’ or ‘Say Something’ – come on!

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Something For Kate will be touring Echolalia in full around the country this September and October, going ‘Double or Nothing’. Hitting Australia theatres this Spring, the band will be bringing two sets to fans: Echolalia and a second set of favourites and cuts from their latest record, The Modern Medieval.
Something For Kate haven’t been able to tour The Modern Medieval since its release in November 2020, so this national run will be the first opportunity for the group to unleash Album #7 properly.
“This will be a rare and unique Something For Kate tour,” the band has said in a statement today. “We can’t wait for these very special shows.”
Along with the new shows, Something For Kate have announced an anniversary vinyl reissue of Echolalia, that will be released on September 10th. The vinyl release will feature images from this era of the band, as well as a lyrics booked in Paul Dempsey’s own handwriting for the first time.
Tickets are on sale for the anniversary tour from midday local time on Monday, 26th July.
UPDATE 26/07/21: Something For Kate have added two new dates to their upcoming September/October Echolalia x The Modern Medieval national tour. Brisbane will get a second and final show at Fortitude Music Hall on the public holiday eve of Monday, 4 October. A third show has also been added to take place at Melbourne’s The Forum at the end of the tour run on Thursday, 28 October.
