Something with Numbers are gearing themselves up ready for a big year. Only last week they announced their new single We Kill the Weekend, their first in five years. Now they’ve announced a run of shows through February to back up the new track, and appearances on this year’s Big Day Out lineup.
The band will be playing three intimate and sweaty shows at Brisbane’s Crowbar, Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club and Sydney’s Annandale Hotel. Showcasing new tracks from their forthcoming new album, as well as all the old favourites, this will be the first time Something with Numbers have played their own headline shows since 2009.
The forthcoming album Eleven Eleven was recorded in October last year at Annandale’s Jungle Studios, with producer Lachlan Mitchell (The Jezabels, The Whitlams) who also produced their 2004 debut, Etiquette. This album promises to be their most personal, and their most striking, offering to date.
We Kill the Weekend, taken from the forthcoming album Eleven Eleven, is out on 18th January.
