Plans to push ahead with the SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (Protect IP Act) bills have been scrapped by the U.S. Senate following protests by websites around the world. Wikipedia shut down for 24 hours on Wednesday forcing the Senate to rethink their plans and delay the Sopa Bill.
