Organisers behind the buzzworthy neo-soul, jazz and hip-hop festival Soulfest will be jumping the pond, locking in a date, location and now lineup for our Kiwi brothers and sisters. The announcement means the highly anticipated event is quickly becoming a hot global property.
Auckland punters can expect something fairly similar to the Australian leg with Maxwell, D’Angelo, Common, Mos Def, Anthony Hamilton, Angie Stone, and Musiq Soulchild all committing to man the stages. Organisers have stated that more acts will be announced closer to the date.
The event will be taking place at the beloved Western Springs Stadium which will be pimped out into an ‘intimate mode’ offering a boutique feel to the massive festival. The venue has been booked out for Sunday, 26th October. Tickets, including the coveted VIP option, are on sale Tuesday, 3rd June for earlybird buyers with General Public tix dropping the following Wednesday, 5th June.
