Having arguably dethroned Big Day Out as the biggest music festival in Australia, the Soundwave gears have once again begun turning and the rumour mill is in full effect. Promoters are finding it harder and harder to keep things on the down low, as thanks to Twitter and other social networks, we have been able to construct a bill that will most likely appear on the Soundwave 2013 posters.
Already we’ve had acts confirmed such as Six Feet Under, The Blackout, and Kingdom of Sorrow. Chelsea Grin has given “very good odds”, and Stone Sour got us a “yes” to there being a chance they’ll make it down. A few others thrown in the mix have been given a high possibility of performing, as well as a lot of straight up ‘no’s’ from highly vocal Soundwave Promoter AJ Maddah.
Triple M have also fueled the fire with presenter Higgo letting slip that Linkin Park and Godsmack could be amongst the 2013 headliners.
It feels as though it’s too early to be worrying about the next Soundwave, but in a matter of months it will be at our doorstep. However, there are issues still in the air for Perth fans who may lose their venue for the event (Update: Perth will still be going ahead).
This list will be updated every hour of every day as new information comes in. If you have heard any rumours or tips, let us know about them in the comments section below.
Confirmed, Likely and ruled out bands for the second announcement will be posted below the offical lineup – Like Music Feeds on Facebook for all the latest updates.
