ORIGINAL STORY: Texan metal outfit The Sword have announced a 2018 Australian headline tour in support of their sixth and latest album Used Future.
Hitting up venues in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this September, the Soundwave Festival alumni will perform in Australia for the first time since Victoria’s Rolling Thunder festival in 2016.

The Sword — that’s JD Cronise (vocals, guitar), Kyle Shutt (guitar), Bryan Richie (bass), and Santiago Vela III (drums) — recorded Used Future in Portland, Oregon with producer Tucker Martine, who has worked with the likes of My Morning Jacket, The Decemberists and First Aid Kit.
The album is the follow-up to 2015’s High Country. Watch the video for Used Future‘s title track, below.
