Killswitch Engage have performed at Soundwave twice (in 2008 and 2013), and have recently been working on the follow-up to 2013’s Disarm The Descent — so fingers crossed they share some of their new tunes come January. They will also be performing their second studio album Alive Or Just Breathing in its entirety.
Ill Niño have also played the festival twice, most recently in 2014. This time around, they’ll be performing their 2011 debut album Revolution Revolución in full.
Terror Universal performed at this year’s Soundwave, and have replaced their former vocalist Rott with a new masked muppet called Plague since then.
Today’s new set of Soundwave acts follow the festival’s first major lineup announcement from last month, which featured acts such as electronica heroes The Prodigy, Chino Moreno’s Deftones, hip hop legends Public Enemy and Soundwave 2016 headliners Disturbed.
Soundwave 2016 is scheduled to kick off in Brisbane on 23rd January, before making its way to Sydney on Sunday, 24th January and Melbourne on Tuesday, 26th January. Catch the festival’s second major 2016 lineup announcement along with the rest of the lineup, below.
