South Park’s Creators Mock Kanye’s New Video Game

At E3 Expo last week Kanye West revealed the official trailer for his new mobile game. Now South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have put in their two cents about the game in a press conference with Ubisoft to promote their own new game South Park: The Fractured but Whole.

Parker began to describe their game to the audience, sarcastically explaining “there’s a gay fish in South Park, and he loves fish sticks, and the gay fish actually wants you to help him get his mother into heaven, so you get to journey up and help this little gay fish get his mom into heaven.”

“You’re all acting like this shit’s regular. This shit is hard. I hope you call saw the Kanye thing,” said Parker – referring to Kanye’s new video game trailer.

For a bit of context, Kanye West first appeared on South Park in 2009 in an episode called Fishsticks where Kanye believes he is the voice of a generation but everyone calls him “a gay fish”. In a later episode he says “I am not Aquaman, I am a recovering gay fish”.

Somewhat surprisingly after the “Fishsticks” episode aired, Kanye wrote a post on his website thanking the South Park writers. I got a long road ahead of me to make people believe I ‘m not actually a huge douche but I’m up for the challenge. I’m sure the writers at South Park are really nice people in real life.”

Watch the clip of Parker and Stone below, as well as the trailer for Kanye West’s Only One game trailer – and a heads up, it’s really weird.
