Southbound 2016 has announced its local lineup, showcasing the most bands from Western Australia it has ever had play the festival in its 12 year history.
Southbound is yet to announce its complete lineup for this year, but it has unveiled its list of WA locals, led by San Cisco (pictured), who will be joined by the likes of electronic duo Slumberjack, alt-rock band Tired Lion and hip-hop/jazz crossovers Koi Child.
It doesn’t end there, though. HWLS, Mosquito Coast, KUČKA, Lilt and more will also be repping for WA at the festival, alongside a bunch of other Aussie and international artists.
It’s a pretty impressive list of names, which proves just how rich the talent pool is over there in the west. In fact, it’s hard to imagine many other states pulling together a list quite as impressive as this one.
Southbound will be going down during a new time period this year, before New Year’s. It’s previously taken place in January, but this time around it will be running from 27th to 29th December. The only headline act so-far confirmed for the festival is none other than Hermitude.
No word yet on when to expect the full lineup, but you can feast your eyes on the local lineup below. First release tickets are also on sale right now.
