Spiritualized Australian Tour 2012 – Meredith Sideshows

Having just announced their Australian visit in aid of the 2012 Meredith Music Festival, English space rockers Spiritualized have announced a string of East Coast gigs in early December.

After the release of their critically acclaimed album Sweet Heart, Sweet Light, the band have seen their already strong fanbase grow. Their extensive discography will make for an unpredictably exciting setlist, sure to entice fans from the opening note. With Alan Mcgee, founder of Creation Records, describing the band “as important to British culture as Neil Young is important to American culture”, you really would need a decent excuse to miss this one.

The band will be appearing at the festival, famous for its ‘no dickheads’ policy, alongside the likes of Primal Scream, Four Tet, Grimes, Pond, Snakadaktal and stacks of others. Tickets go on sale this Friday. In anticipation of their visit, have a look at the band’s video for their latest single Hey Jane; however, to be honest, it’s not safe for work. Anyway, be sure to catch J. Spaceman and co. as they begin their run of East Coast dates early December.

Tuesday 4th December – The Hi-Fi, Brisbane

Thursday 6th December – The Hi-Fi, Melbourne
