Deputy Prime Minister, Johnny Depp’s nemesis and tireless enforcer of Australia’s quarantine laws Barnaby Joyce has cancelled his scheduled appearance at the Splendour In The Grass 2016 version of ABC’s Q&A program, but the festival has added a new act to its music lineup in the form of rapper L‐FRESH The LION.
As The Music reports, Mr Joyce pulled out of his Splendour appearance at the last minute. His office reportedly confirmed the cancellation, saying that he was “looking forward” to the event on Sunday, although other important issues led him to have to cancel.
Splendour has bounced back quickly though, with L-FRESH The LION’s spot on the lineup being announced on Twitter by the label Elefant Traks. L-FRESH will perform at the festival on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th July. However, he won’t be taking Mr Joyce’s place alongside Q&A host Tony Jones and Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young.
