The event will again be held at the North Byron Parklands after a successful run last year, following several long years of lobbying by the organisers. The site’s majestic natural amphitheatre will act as the festival main stage, alongside the Mix Up and GW McLennan stages.
Splendour 2014 will once again take place on the last weekend of July (Friday, 25th – Sunday, 27th) and according to event officials, on-site camping will be available for five nights starting from Wednesday, 23rd July. Campers will need to purchase a vehicle pass for the day they want to arrive.
Both three day and single day tickets are available for purchase. The three-day passes allow entry to the event site on Thursday as well as Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Festival goers wanting to camp on-site will have to purchase an extra camping pass on top of an event ticket. A carbon offset option will again be available for an additional $3 per ticket.
The new venue has allowed more space for campers directly adjacent to the event site, with a load of extra essential amenities. A General Store stocked with basic supplies and more food stalls will be open for business in the campgrounds from the Wednesday and right throughout the weekend.
For punters wanting to give their ears and dancing shoes a well-deserved break, Splendour’s much loved Global Village is back to feed the body and mind with three full days of performances, workshops, market stalls, yoga, dance and fusion food.
You can bond with other festival-goers plus some stellar guests at the Splendour Forum which will transform at night into a late night comedy club. There’s also a craft stall, karaoke, fashion stalls, a cocktail bar and even a day spa, meeting all your weekend festival needs.
Tickets for the three-day festival go on sale 9am AEST on Friday 2 May through Moshtix. Check below for lineup and ticketing info.
