The Splendour in the Grass Moshtix page and ticket resale platform have crashed and may be out of action for “a few days”.
Splendour organisers broke the news on the festival’s official Facebook event page tonight, informing fans that they were “experiencing some technical difficulties”, which have meant that the SITG Moshtix page and resale platform are “temporarily unavailable”.
“We expect it to be resolved within a week, keep checking back, and keep an eye on the official Splendour in the Grass and Moshtix social channels for updates,” their statement reads, continuing:
“We would like to remind you again DO NOT purchase tickets from Facebook, Gumtree or any other unauthorised ticket resellers. Splendour tickets include the name and date of birth of the ticket holder – this stops tickets being resold at ridiculous prices by scalpers/scammers. If someone is trying to sell you tickets directly please know it’s impossible.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.”
Music Feeds has reached out to Moshtix for a statement, while fans have also been reporting mixed experiences using the general Moshtix website:

@moshtix_com_au is your website alright? It was taking a few minutes to load each page and now I got this… I'm trying to buy a ticket and it looks like I won't be able to. 🙁
These things happen so send some motivation to your IT department. I'll try again later 🙂 pic.twitter.com/AmoPc1mm29

It comes after promoters of the sold-out 2018 festival responded to a backlash over the “joke” ticket resale fees on their official reselling platform this year.
We’ll bring you guys more news on this one as it develops.
