With organisers having already announced the first round of acts set to play St. Kilda Festival 2014 — which marks the Melbourne’s institution’s 34th instalment — iconic St. Kilda venue The Espy have announced a lineup for the big day featuring British India, Andy Bull, Dallas Crane, and more.
On Sunday, 9th February, The Espy will do what it does best and play host to hot local and international talent, kicking off with Melbourne indie favourites British India, who’ll be bringing their in-your-face stage antics while touring off the momentum of their latest album, Controller.
Rising star Andy Bull had an incredible 2013, unveiling two self-penned, self-produced, and self-performed singles — Keep On Running and Baby I Am Nobody Now — accompanying them with equally unique and cinematic videos and will now be bringing his singular synth pop to The Espy.
Aussie rock stalwarts Dallas Crane recently announced that they will be swaggering back to the live scene that has missed them so much. With a brand new single titled I’m Sorry Darling under their belt, this gritty, pub-christened rock four-piece have earned a reputation as an explosive live act.
Meanwhile, the UK’s Duncan Beiny, better known in the EDM world as DJ Yoda, will cap off the night behind the decks, spinning party tunes to get the masses moving and showcasing the arsenal of turntablism skills that has people hailing him as one of the world’s most entertaining DJs.
Rounding out the lineup will be The Pretty Littles, who unveiled their new album, Mash, back in November on Music Feeds, hard rock two-piece King Of The North, garage-bred punk rock outfit Bitter Sweet Kicks, and hard-rocking Melbourne four-piece Massive. Check below for details.
