If you’re a St. Vincent fan who happens to be in Dallas, Texas, you should probably go check out the new Mexican restaurant Resident Taqueria, because the amazing Ms Annie Clark has been spotted working there.
As Stereogum reports, locals have seen Ms Clark supposedly refilling napkin dispensers and clearing tables at the restaurant, which is run by her sister and brother-in-law.
Local St. Vincent fans who have been to Resident Taqueria have been super-surprised to bump into Ms Clark, and have fan-boyed and fan-girled as hard as anyone can possibly fan-boy or fan-girl. Here’s one example:
@st_vincent thank you for refilling our napkin dispenser last night!

Another fan named Katie has shared a lengthy “ANNIE CLARK STORY TIME” post on tumblr, detailing the exact moment she spotted Ms Clark and began to freak the fuck out.
“Before I ordered I wanted to go use the bathroom and GUESS WHO WAS STANDING IN THE HALL IN FRONT OF THE BATHROOM,” reads Katie’s post.
“IN A WORK APRON COVERED IN VARIOUS PAINT COLORS, AND A BEANIE BECAUSE THIS IS A FOOD SERVICE GIG, AND A T-SHIRT AND A VERY SHORT BLACK SKIRT AND THOSE FUCKING LOAFERS (no socks though). (Annie Clark, duh.)”
It’s still unclear if any Marrow, Krokodil, Neutered Fruit or Rattlesnake is on the menu at Resident Taqueria, but Ms Clark seems to be enjoying her time there, saying in a tweet, “It’s an honor to be a part of the Resident Taqueria opening weekend.”
Annie, we mean this in the nicest way possible, but PLEASE don’t quit your day job.
