Stereosonic Organisers Announce “Huge” New Aussie Festival, FestivalX

Get ready to cry tears of neon joy, because the masterminds behind the late Stereosonic Festival (RIP) are back with a “huge” new event… and it looks epic.

Dubbed FestivalX, the three-date multi-stage summer festival event will supposedly showcase the best in “hip-hop, pop, EDM and electronica”.

It’s set to hit venues in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this November and December, to fill the hole that Stereo left in our hearts.

As for the lineup? It’s yet to be announced, but it sounds BIG, with organisers promising to deliver “some of the biggest music superstars that have dominated music, radio and streaming charts across the globe”.

“The line-up includes Grammy, Billboard and ARIA Award winners who have performed on major international stages across the world,” an official press statement reads.

A joint project between promoters Hardware and Onelove (the team behind Stereosonic) and touring giant Live Nation, the one-day rager is also being billed as an “affordable” experience.

“We’ve been working on this for while now and the time is right,” says Hardware’s Richie McNeill.

“Fans and the industry want a reliable, value for money musical experience showcasing the faves and new artists. We’ve got awesome musical artists, stage designers and builders responsible for some of the most spectacular looking stage designs at EDC, ID&T etc.

“It’s the start of summer and a great time to celebrate end of exams, holidays coming and listen to some loud, awesome music. Massive feels.”

We. Are. HYPE.
