Stone Temple Pilots’ Dean DeLeo Accused Of Assaulting His Wife

CONTENT WARNING: The following article contains allegations of domestic abuse

Stone Temple Pilots’ guitarist Dean DeLeo has been accused of multiple disturbing acts of domestic violence against his wife, Jenn DeLeo.

New legal documents filed by Jenn during the couple’s divorce proceedings paint the iconic rocker as a violent drug and alcohol addict, who has abused his partners and children for years.

In the papers, Jenn accuses her soon-to-be-ex spouse of attempting to strangle her numerous times over the course of their marriage, as well as beating her, threatening her life multiple times and cheating on her constantly.

As TMZ reports, the divorce documents also include a claim that Dean threatened to kill himself “like their personal friend, Chester Bennington” (who briefly fronted STP) if she left him, and once took their newborn baby into the ocean “while he was completely inebriated” and almost let her drown.

Jenn also details an instance where she allegedly home to find her husband passed out in the garage with the door shut and the car running. Upon waking him up, she claims Dean vomited and then angrily assaulted her, throwing her around to the point of almost killing her.

The accusations aren’t limited to Jenn, either, as the documents also detail allegations of abuse of Dean’s son from a previous marriage, as well as threats to have his ex-wife killed.

Dean founded STP with his brother Robert DeLeo, Scott Weiland (RIP) and Eric Kretz.

At the time of writing he has yet to respond to the allegations.
