Only two years into the game, Strangers have fast become a force to be reckoned with. Their guitar driven, tough as nails debut album Persona Non Grata, as well as a steller 2012 as inspired the lads to hit the roads once more to start off 2013 in style.
As the band discussed with Music Feeds when we caught up with them prior to their showcase at Big Sound in Brissy, the album name (which translates to an unwelcome stranger) applies directly to the bands genius on the east coast of Australia, having to look no further for inspiration than their own situation. Providing for a hard-hitting release that has already attracted serious support from Triple J and a like.
Despite having recently released their debut full length, the dudes are no strangers (pun intented) to our biggest stages, having supported the likes of Good Charlotte, Calling All Cars and The Darkness. Strangers are prematurely maturing into one of the finest acts to develop from the new wave of Aussie rock.
The band will be off to represent Australia at the SXSW Conference in Texas next year, so now is your chance to jump on board and claim “I saw Strangers before they were massive”
