Having spent the last few years establishing itself as a MVP in Australia’s thriving boutique festival scene, Melbourne’s Sugar Mountain is preparing its 2017 return, hitting us with a ‘save the date’ for Saturday, 21st January next year.
We’ll have to wait until early October before we get the look at the festival’s new lineup, but at least now we can get our affairs in order well in advance. Those who have frequented the event will known full well the pulling power Sugar Mountain has, with the likes of Hot Chip, Dirty Three and Courtney Barnett performing there earlier this year.
Sugar Mountain prides itself on not just its live music spread, but its attention to other forms of art. Each year, there’s a seperate visual artist lineup which packs as much punch as the music one. The event will also be returning to its home at the Victorian College of the Arts next year.
