Supafest Delay Ticket Refunds Again

Supafest promoters have failed to meet the refund deadline they promised punters and are now asking angry ex-fans to wait another week. Early in May the promoters had promised they would pay out all outstanding refunds by June 1; however, this will no longer happen and they are now promising June 8. The following statement was issued via Facebook today:

“We apologise for the time it is taking to pay the balance of the refunds. We are reconciling what tickets have and have not been scanned which is a timely process. We are seeking another additional week till June 8th to finalise all refunds and hope that you can remain patient till then. THANK YOU.”

Whether these refunds will actually be paid time will tell, but either way, things aren’t looking good for Supafest 2013. A few weeks ago a source told The Age that creditors are chasing outstanding debts and that an application for winding up is due to be heard on June 6. On top of that, the company is also being sued by The Phonographic Performance Company of Australia for outstanding royalty payments.
