Canberran trio of self-described “outraged party rockers” Super Best Friends are getting topical in their new video for Round And Round, a scathing commentary on the Australian election season and the endless media spin and repetition that comes along with it.
The outfit’s bassist, Matt Roberts, managed to charm a whole lot of well-known pollies to be part of the festivities here, and the vid features a cast of pollies that’s sure to boggle your mind, including Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, Leader of the Opposition Tony Abbott, MPs Rob Oakeshott and Bob Katter, Greens Leader Christine Milne and senator Nick Xenophon rockin’ a mean bass.
The video is going off like Tony Abbott kissing babies, with Round And Round scoring almost 35,000 views at time of publication – no small feat for an Aussie indie band. If you’re pressed for time, we’d recommend skipping straight to 1:27 for some fully sick dance moves from the leader of our great nation.
Hopefully there’s still time for Julie Bishop and/or Adam Bandt to add this to their playlists for their appearances on the special Election Edition of rage next Saturday, 31st August.
