In one fell swoop, Aussie rock greats The Superjesus have announced plans to release a brand new EP Love And Violence, and dropped a run of headline dates in support of the release, baiting fans with the first official single and title track of the release.
In a whirlwind of a turn around, the EP will be released as soon as Friday, 12th August. This will be the first collection of new material from the group since 2013, and if you suspected there might be a lot of meaning to the release considering the deep and emotive title name, you’d be bang on.
As explained by vocalist Sarah McLeod, there’s a lot going thematically with the EP.
“Fire and passion, love and war, heaven and hell… These words always seem to go hand in hand, you can’t have one without the other. Deep emotional relationships run the risk of deep emotional pain. Human nature is funny like that. ‘Love and Violence’ is about looking at the oddity of emotional extremities and celebrating the immeasurable depth of human connection.”
The band will soon be zigzagging across the country with the release for their next batch of headline dates. They’ll be joined by Sydney group The Art for the run. Catch tour dates here below.
