Surprise! Watch Jack White Play His First Full-Length Gig Since COVID On A London Balcony

Jack White is back!

The White Stripe has surprised fans in London with his first full-length gig in two years, performing a guerrilla gig at Third Man Records’ new store in the UK capital.

According to Consequence Of Sound, White kicked things off with a seven-song set in the basement of the store, before moving to a nearby balcony to bust out another five songs — a mix of solo tunes as well as tracks from both The White Stripes and The Raconteurs.

In a glowing five-star review, The Guardian called it “A fantastically exciting moment in the city’s history and the perfect way to announce Third Man’s arrival in London”.

Last year, White filled in as a last-minute musical guest on Saturday Night Live, where he performed a tribute to the late, great Eddie Van Halen. However, this marks his first full-length public performance since July of 2019.

Watch fan-captured footage of the gig — and peep the full setlist — below.
