To celebrate their 20th year on the job, the organisers behind Scotland’s famous T in the Park festival have spared no expense for the 2013 event. Along with the previously announced Alt-J and Two Door Cinema Club, punters can also look forward to catching Mumford and Sons, Dizzy Rascal and Rihanna, which is cool I guess.
Says Festival Directory Geoff Ellis of the milestone “We look forward to every year of T in the Park, but getting the 20th one up and running is some achievement.” Ellis also made note of how much things have changed for the iconic brand “Going back to 1994 when we did the first one, we never thought that it would be going for 20 years, and would have quadrupled in size. We’re just so excited to be here 20 years on.” He told STV (Via Gigwise).
Spanning July 12 to 14, the event will boast an impressive line-up of more than 200 acts, making for a “diverse line-up of seminal artists, global stars and the most exciting new breakthrough talent”.
Tickets are yet to go on sale – they’ll hit the market Friday, 22nd February, but they are sure to be snapped up quick.
